We spent a second night at Blunden Harbour.
Just before noon, Mary put her kayak in the water and paddled to the entrance of the harbor. She was monitoring the progress of the Race to Alaska. She learned that two participants who were travelling on kayaks and a third on a standup paddle board would paddle by the entrance around noon. She waited in a cove by the entrance until they appeared about 1:00 PM.
Mary asked, where they slept at night. They said that they set up camp on shore every evening. It took them two and a half hours each day to set up and break down camp. They stopped at noon each day to have lunch.
