Friday November 15, 2013: Near Cedros Island, Baja California del Norte

We passed outside Cedros Island at about 3:00 AM. We arrived at Turtle Bay at about 10:30 AM on Friday November 15th. We were extremely tired upon arriving. We anchored and then picked up fuel at the fuel dock. We called a panga to go ashore and when the panga arrived at the fuel dock we were “adopted” by a guide who insisted on escorting us around town. He took us to the internet café where we check mails and checked the weather. He took us to a small market so John could buy some bottle of Coke to help stay awake on night watch. He took us to a restaurant. Before we started our meal we made an excuse about going back to the boat to check on the inflatable dinghy. The story was half true because we had started to inflate the dinghy before finding out that panga service was available. We had left the inflatable partly inflated and the pump and other gear was not stowed. We went back to the fuel dock, John returned to the boat to check on the dinghy, and I ditched the guide. When John return from the boat, we went back to the restaurant to get dinner. John tried the fish tacos which were terrible. I had a Mexican combination plate which was better but not great. We went to bed early and slept hard all night. We were very tired.
